My name is Jacque Waite. My love for photography started with my grandpas 35mm manual SLR. I've been hooked ever since. I love to shoot in the studio where all the focus is on your emotion. My passion extends to on-location shoots where I make instant creative decisions.

Photography is not my only creative outlet, I'm a graphic designer by trade. I received my Bachelors degree from Kansas State University in Visual Communications. I also have experience in motion graphics and video art direction.

WSU Shift Space is the School of Art & Design's 1800 sq. ft. student gallery located off-campus, in Old Town, the heart of Wichita's entertainment district. The gallery's name is derived from its original status as a "roaming" gallery that moved from location to location with each exhibition. A semi-permanent space at 800 E. 3rd St. was selected in 2007. BFA Senior Exit exhibitions and MFA Thesis shows are usually held in WSU Shift Space.

Upfront Gallery provides artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their original artwork in a gallery setting.

Mead Street Gallery found its roots at the Wichita Farm and Art Market as Marketplace Gallery. Thanks to David and D. J. Burk, major contributors to the the Old Town redevelopment, founders of the gallery were able to establish a unique art environment. But times change and cities grow and the artisans of the Marketplace Gallery have moved to a wonderful new space - Mead Street!

The new location was originally built in 1905. The historic Smyth-Mead building served as a warehouse before the
fire of 1911. The exterior walls and basement were all that was left of the original building.

Gallery XII – An Artist’s Cooperative

Wichita’s first cooperative gallery, started by 12 artists in September of 1977. For the first ten years, Gallery XII was located at 2903 E. Douglas and then moved to its current location at 412 E. Douglas.

Gallery XII is a not-for-profit corporation and all of its members are on its Board of Directors and have an equal vote and say on Gallery procedures and decisions.

Beadazzled is Wichita's most unique bead store and glass art studio. We have the largest selection of lampwork glass beads in the state because they are born of fire in our glass studio. We carry an assortment of natural stone beads such as turquoise, jasper, agate, and jade. Our custom made jewelry incorporates glass beads with pearls, crystals, and other semi precious stones.
